We are growing and we are looking to bring more people on board full-time, part-time, and contractually depending on the nature of the available positions. We've done a great job at creating our events, and are out to bring the same quality to our web presence.
Ignite NYC will be two years old this July. What started as a 250 person event in a downtown bar has grown to bring over 650 people to each event. We've had a total of eight events-- five of which took place this past year alone and have included esteemed speakers such as Baratunde Thurston, Jay Rosen, Dennis Crowley, Andrew Hoppin, Deb Shultz, and Quinn Norton. Our Facebook and Twitter communities are near 3,000 strong. We've received media coverage from Conde Nast and Laughing Squid, are about to be featured on the Yahoo! Developer Network as well as several local publications including the New York Times (online and print), NYConvergance, and TimeOut NY. Ignite was such a succes that Yahoo! wanted to be a part of it this past year and hosted us as at the Open Hack Day here in New York.
What will you get out of being apart of the Ignite NYC? You'll get to contribute to what many people refer to as their, "favorite NYC tech event." It's put for the community and lots of fun to do. Additionally, it's great street cred and great for your professional development.
