I seriously think doctors are mostly useless. Most of them could be replaced by nurses. Nurses can competently evaluate 90% of things that come through doctors’ offices. Whatever they can’t or are unsure of, they should refer to doctors. This would dramatically lower costs and allow doctors to focus on more important things than the common cold, strep, and stds…

Another peeve I have that is somewhat related is that doctors rarely spend anytime with you to talk about any concerns you may have. They rarely talk about preventing issues, but instead just prescribe meds which may not even address the underlying issue. Below is an article on how and why that process occurs.
